New Sirris R38 Shock For E Ride Pro, Surron Light Bee X, Arctic Leopard

New Sirris R38 Shock for E Ride Pro, Surron LBX, Arctic Leopard

Introducing the Sirris R38 Shock, a new rear suspension platform designed specifically for compact electric dirt bikes. The R38 is now available at Darwin EV for the E Ride Pro SR and E Ride Pro SS 3.0, with Surron Light Bee X and Arctic Leopard fitments currently in development.

Unlike many compact e-moto shocks that are derived from mountain bike suspension, the R38 was engineered using motocross suspension architecture scaled for smaller electric dirt bikes. The goal is to provide consistent damping performance, improved durability, and greater adjustability for today's high-performance e-motos.

Built on Sirris' Championship-Proven R46 Platform

According to Sirris, the R38 shares much of its engineering philosophy with the company's full-size R46 motocross shock for Surron Ultra Bee. Rather than adapting bicycle suspension, the R38 was developed specifically for the demands of lightweight electric dirt bikes such as the Surron Light Bee and E Ride Pro platforms.

Sirris R38 Shock Technology

Key Features:

  • 2SC (Two-Stage Compression) damping system
  • Independent high- and low-speed compression adjustment
  • Oversized 16mm induction heat-treated hollow shaft
  • Hard chrome shaft finish
  • High-flow piston design
  • Internal floating piston reservoir
  • Large oil capacity for improved heat management

These features are designed to deliver more consistent damping performance, improved traction, and greater durability during demanding riding conditions.

Designed for Modern Compact E-Motos

As compact electric dirt bikes continue to become more powerful and capable, suspension demands have increased as well. The R38 was developed to handle aggressive trail riding, motocross, racing, and high-speed off-road use while maintaining consistent performance throughout long riding sessions.

Its larger oil volume and moto-style internal design help reduce suspension fade caused by heat buildup during repeated impacts and extended use.

2SC Compression Adjustment

One of the R38's standout features is Sirris' new 2SC (Two-Stage Compression) system.

Independent high- and low-speed compression adjusters allow riders to fine-tune the suspension for different terrain and riding styles, whether prioritizing small bump compliance, jump landings, technical terrain, or higher-speed riding.

Combined with rebound adjustment, the R38 offers a broad range of suspension tuning options.

Complete Suspension System: R38 Shock + Prickly Linkage + F43 CMX Fork

Prickly Linkage for Sirris R38 Shock: E Ride Pro SR / SS 3.0

The initial R38 models were developed specifically for the E Ride Pro SR and E Ride Pro 3.0. For these applications, Sirris partnered with Prickly to develop a dedicated linkage that raises rear ride height by approximately 25mm while optimizing chassis geometry around the R38.

Important: The original factory E Ride Pro linkage is not compatible with the R38 shock and must be replaced with the matching Prickly Linkage for Sirris R38 (E Ride Pro SR / 3.0).

Sirris F43 Fork CMX Tune: E Ride Pro SR / SS 3.0 with Drop Clamp

The R38 is designed to pair perfectly with the Sirris F43 CMX 220mm Fork, although riders may choose other compatible front suspension options depending on their riding preferences.

Tested by Experienced Riders

Before release, the R38 shock was evaluated by members of Mayhem Racing, including Tim Ritson, Austin Rocha, Trevor Stewart, and Jayme Brap.

According to Sirris, riders reported improved stability, traction, and control across a variety of terrain, particularly during aggressive riding and repeated impacts.

More E-Moto Fitment Options Coming Soon

While the initial release focuses on the E Ride Pro platform, Sirris has announced that additional versions are already in development for:

  • Surron Light Bee X (LBX)
  • Arctic Leopard

Each application is expected to receive model-specific valving and tuning rather than using a one-size-fits-all setup.

A New Suspension Option for Compact Electric Dirt Bikes

The release of the Sirris R38 gives riders another premium rear shock option designed specifically for lightweight electric dirt bikes.

Whether you're building an E Ride Pro for trail riding, racing, or all-around performance, choosing the right suspension depends on your riding style, terrain, and setup. As additional fitments become available, the R38 will offer another option for riders looking to upgrade their suspension.
