Built for road riding and top-end speed, the Torp TM50 Speed Motor is a high-performance power upgrade for the Surron Ultra Bee. The TM50 Speed is engineered to pull hard all the way through the RPM range — not just off the line. Rated up to 55kW peak power and spinning to 13,000 RPM, this is the motor you choose when straight-line speed and high-speed performance matter most.
Whether you're setting up a street build or chasing maximum top speed, the Torp TM50 Speed Motor is designed to stay efficient, stay cool, and keep accelerating.
Key Features
- Built for High RPM Performance – Optimized KV and internal design focus on higher RPM operation and top-end speed.
- Thick Windings = Lower Resistance – Ultra-low 2 mΩ motor resistance helps reduce heat and maximize power output under load.
- Precision Encoder Control – 1024-point (4096 effective) encoder delivers smoother throttle response, cleaner low-speed modulation, and better overall control.
- Ultra Bee Direct Fit – Developed specifically for the Surron Ultra Bee platform (mid-mount configuration).

Battery Recommendations
The TM50 Speed Motor is compatible with the stock Ultra Bee battery, but performance is significantly increased with a higher voltage setup. For optimal results, we recommend
80V nominal (22S) battery — 92.4V fully charged. Higher voltage allows the TM50 Speed Motor to fully utilize its high-RPM design and unlock maximum power potential.

TM50 Speed vs TM50 Pro
Both Torp motors are built for the Ultra Bee — but tuned for different riding styles.
TM50 Speed Motor
- Optimized for high-RPM operation
- Higher KV for greater top speed
- Performs well even on 72V setups (80V recommended)
- Ideal for road builds and speed-focused riders
TM50 Pro Motor
- Optimized for off-road torque delivery
- Stronger low-to-mid RPM efficiency
- More torque per amp
- Best paired with higher voltage battery systems for full potential
If you’re building an Ultra Bee focused on maximum speed and high-RPM performance, the TM50 Speed Motor is the right foundation. However, if you want strong off-road torque with stronger low-to-mid RPMs, the TM50 Pro Motor is the right choice.
